Ever given much thought to the way we're exposed these days? Privacy is a hard thing to come by any more.
Paleolithic man never had this problem. He could go off into the wild and kill someone and maybe never be discovered (and most likely never give it another thought).
These days you can't even get a job without someone checking into your personal history, and I'm talking thoroughly checking. Yeah, they want to look into everything you've ever done or haven't done.
It's enough to make you feel the embarassment you might experience upon being seen naked.
In this case it's your soul that is naked.
And of course it's all made worse by the fact that our culture conditions us to believe that certain behaviors are right and/or wrong.
Horseshit. Nothing is right or wrong. Many things are desirable and/or undesirable, at least within the context of certain social circumstances, like getting a job, but nothing is right or wrong.
But very few people talk this way. It's always with the shoulds and oughts.
You should have done such and such; You shouldn't have done that; You ought not to have behaved that way.
It's all a bunch of bullshit.

I don't know about you but I never asked to be here.
Fuck what anybody expects of me.
I don't think anyone has a right to expect a goddamned thing from me, except maybe that I not kill them or hurt them in some way.
Background checks. What the fuck. What the goddamn hell is everybody so afraid of?
What a crock of shit. Do we think that just because somebody has a clean background that they will never commit a sin?

Jesus Christ, you have to be conscious of every fucking move you make, always mindful of consequences, of exposure, of baring your naked soul to the whole goddamn world.
