SEXUAL EQUALITY I do not believe in sexual equality, and for a very good reason: nothing happens in states of perfect equilibrium. Take the universe. Have you ever heard of its future heat death? It's going to happen because of perfect equality, the equality of heat distribution. You see, according to thermodynamics, heat flows. When heat is flowing something is happening. But here's the thing. It can only flow from a high spot to a low one. It's kind of like having a full jug of water and an empty one. You couldn't pour the water from the full jug into the empty one if the empty one was not empty. If they were both full (a state of perfect equality), nothing (in terms of pouring) could happen. The same thing is supposed to happen to the universe some day. All the heat will be evenly distributed, with no high or low spots anywhere, which means the heat can no longer flow. In other words, a state of perfect equality will mean the end of things as we know it. Sound familiar? The same kind of thing is happening with the arrival and spread of sexual equality. Sexual heat, if you will, is becoming evenly distributed. Have you heard about the declining birth rates everywhere? Do you think that would be happening if sexual equality was nonexistent? Somehow, I don't think so. Women are allowed to express their feelings about anything a man wants to express his feelings about. This is good and bad. It has to be, because there is no such thing as just good, sitting there all by itself. It doesn't become good unless there is some bad sitting right next to it. And vice versa. It's good that women can have their own opinions about things, express the contents of their minds. It's bad for the men that they have to listen to it. Why is it bad for the men? Because men basically don't give a shit about what women think. They just want to use them for sex. On balance, women don't give a shit about what men think either. They just want to use them to keep other men away from them, like they'll tolerate one man invading their body, but that's it. They also use them to move the furniture around and hook up the VCR and take the trash out and stuff like that. You can't even say that women need men to reproduce with anymore. They can go to sperm banks for that, which is nothing but a way of increasing the distance between them and men. I picked up an interesting phrase during my military experience:
Somebody's got to be in charge.
The sensibility of this statement seems almost axiomatic, and I appeal to its practicality to support my position on sexual equality. It is most definitely true, someone has to be in charge. Someone has to be the boss. If there is no boss, expect chaos, or absolutely nothing getting done, nothing happening. Someone being in control suggests an unequal distribution of heat, which is absolutely necessary for something to happen. Maybe there can be sexual equality, but I can't imagine couple, or relationship, equality. In a relationship, someone has to be in charge. And do you know who that's going to be? The one who loves the least. The one who loves the least always controls the relationship. Loving more (or less) suggests another unequal distribution of heat.
